AOC to Debut HD 22-inch USB Powered Display at CES 2012

Display manufacturer AOC will be debuting a new 22 inch HD USB powered monitor at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) between 10th-13th of January.

"The 22-inch USB Monitor makes multi-screen computing more practical than ever with its plug-and-play setup, cord independence and low power consumption," said Robert Velez, Marketing Manager of AOC.

This new display is 10.6mm thin thanks to its LED backlighting technology and provides a huge 20,000,000:1 contrast ratio with a 1920 x 1080 resolution across its 22 inch panel. However, this monitor isn't designed as a main display - though it could of course be used as that - and features a removable stand that allows you to convert it to a digital photo frame if you so wish.

While the 5ms response time might be a little high for gamers, AOC claims that the catchily named e2251Fwu should work fine for end users and business professionals.

Due to the power saving features behind this display, you won't need a spare mains outlet , as this is a USB powered monitor. Data and power are sent down the same cable which also aids cable management.

Those wanting to get a close up look at the new display will be able to at the AOC stand at CES beginning in just five days time.
