HP has released a new software update for its officially discontinued HP TouchPad tablet. The update comes in the form of webOS 3.0.5 and brings with it bug fixes, and a few new features.
These new features will improve the quality of web videos and will provide a faster email experience and faster calender switching - along with many more features.
The company stated that by downloading these new updates, the HP TouchPad user will be allowed to stream live content from over the HTTP.
The tablet computer is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, has a 9.7 inch XGA capacitive display touch screen and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n support, Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR and USB 2.0 support.
The update can be downloaded from the setting tab on the TouchPad tablet; users must check the system updates, reports Liliputing.
In fact, a month back, HP announced its webOS platform will be turned into an open source community to give it a better scope for development. This move will definitely help the operating system to become more need oriented and is likely to receive good response from the market in totality.
