The sequel of the very popular game Max Payne, Max Payne 3, was originally scheduled to be released in March of 2012; however, the title's publisher, Rockstar, disclosed that the release has been pushed to 15th May for Xbox 360 as well as PlayStation 3 in North America.
In Europe it is arriving on May 18th and for PC gamers it will be available on 29th May.
According to reports, the move was taken to make sure that the latest edition provides the highest quality. However, for Rockstar, such a delay of product release is not a new phenomenon, as their latest two titles, L.A. Noire as well as Red Dead Redemption, also had to go through similar delays before finally hitting the shelves.
But no matter what, the company always seems to deliver quality products which they have been able to sustain, so no one seems to complain too much about the delays.
As a matter of fact, Take-Two which happens to be the parent company of Rockstar, put a positive slant on this postponement: "With Max Payne 3 now slated for May, our robust lineup of upcoming releases for fiscal 2013 is even stronger, including BioShock Infinite, Borderlands 2, Spec Ops: The Line, XCOM, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, and other titles yet to be announced for release that year," PC Mag reports.
