Asus Transformer Prime 'HD' to Be Released This Summer

Asus declared that a better, updated HD model of the hybrid laptop/tablet ASUS Transformer Prime TF201 will be launched in the month of June 2012. The latest version Asus Transformer Prime TF700 is an improved version of the original Prime TF201 which has faced some serious Wi-Fi related issues.

Besides no issues with Wi-Fi, the new version will also have a better display screen of 1920 x 1200 resolution. The chassis has been improvised and the front facing camera enhanced from 1.2MP to 2MP.

Asus' official company blog states, "this product is unlikely to be available in the UK before June at the earliest and no pricing details have been announced," reports Electric Pig.

Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime TFT700's UK pricing has not been disclosed by the company yet. However, according to rumour it might cost $100 more as compared to the original device in the US.

The original Transformer Prime have been subject to many complaints related to the Wi-Fi service. The company has provided two options to UK owners of the original Transformer Prime - either they give back the device and take full refund or get an extended warranty period if they plan to keep the device.
