Google Releases Update for Google+ Mobile Avatar

Google has released a new update for the mobile avatar of its social networking site Google Plus.

The update has been accompanied by a number of new features, in addition, a few older and relatively less popular features have been removed.

The Incoming column, which was being used by very few users because of its apparent confusing structure, will no longer be there in the new and revamped avatar of the mobile site. Instead, it will be replaced by the new What's Hot column.

The What's Hot column has been designed to feed users' homepage with all the popular stuff that has been going on the site throughout the day.

Users can access this new feature by swiping right from the primary Circles stream. It also allows users to see other users that +1'd (liked) a certain post, reports MobileBurn. This is a cool feature that many users will enjoy.

The company has virtually confirmed that all these features will be extended to the iOS and Android platforms in the foreseeable future. But as of now, users can access these new features and functionalities by visiting the mobile version of the site at plus.google.com from their devices' browser.
