Established manufacture of network branded phones ZTE has recently unveiled their first ever Windows Phone 7 handset known as the Tania, where ITProPortal has uncovered that the device could have a microSD card slot.

ITPP has managed to capture the pictures below at the Tania's launch event in London, where the circles around aspects of the images highlight the possible location and space for a microSD card slot. This is located under the phone's rear cover, next to the removable oblong-shaped battery.

A Microsoft spokesperson at the event confirmed to ITProPortal that the usual ‘microSD logo', which indicates where the extra removable memory is placed, has had space allocated - next to the missing microSD card slot.

It is possible that ZTE could be producing further Windows Phone 7 handsets in the future, using the very same reference design model as the ‘Tania' - only whilst housing a microSD card.

If this happens, this will be the first time a Microsoft WP7 mobile phone will be made available with removable storage capabilities.
