Xobni has announced the release of its Smartr Contacts app for iOS devices, which means the popular automatic address book has become available on all major mobile platforms.

Now interested users can find Xobni's product available on Android Market, iTunes, as well as in the BlackBerry, Chrome, Firefox and Safari app stores. All the apps are free to download.

One of the main features Smartr Contacts delivers is automatically finding all the people a user has been in contact with from his or her email, calendar or social network. Smartr Contacts is also quite smart, as it "puts a face to every name and email address" and also detects and assigns phone numbers automatically.

In addition, the app organizes the contacts by importance and delivers contextual searches. For instance, the users can view emails and calendar subjects for each person. The app also provides Facebook, Twitter and LindkedIn integration.

In the words of Sam Diaz, technology writer for ZDNet, "(Smartr) is a nice productivity add-on for Gmail - but the real power comes in the mobile app. The interface is clean and simple - a simple search box and some rotating thumbnail images of people."
