Enterprise cloud computing outfit Salesforce.com unveiled Desk.com - a new service aimed at beefing up customer experiences for a ‘mobile and social world'.
According to the company, the new "revolutionary" service will allow businesses to provide their customers with a quality personal customer service by facilitating a help desk which will be mobile, social as well as simple to deploy and use.
The most exciting aspect about this new offering, according to Salesforce, is that it allows businesses to work with their customers almost instantly over social media sites such as Facebook etc.
In short, the basic idea behind Desk.com is to allow businesses to carry their help desks along anytime, anywhere - even when on the move. And, better still, it's so simple to use that even those businesses without a dedicated IT team can make the most out of it, Salesforce stated.
The company has priced the new offering at just under $50, meaning easy affordability for all small and medium businesses.
"Desk.com is a killer app. In today's world, customer service apps have to be social, mobile and simple to use. Desk.com does that and so much more," said Brent Leary, co-founder and partner of CRM Essentials, LLC.
