Nvidia May Show Off Quad Core Smartphone at MWC 2012
Chip giant NVidia is to host a press conference on Feb 27 during the forthcoming edition of the Mobile World Conference 2012 at Barcelona. Even though the company refused to disclose any details regarding what product they are planning to launch, invite says "NVidia quad-core first continue at MWC."
As there are quad core tablets already available in the market the next product will definitely be smartphone. If various reports are to be believed then the very first to feature an NVidia Tegra 3 quad core processor will be HTC Endeavour/Edge and perhaps this is what the chip maker is referring to, reported Unwired View.
As a matter of fact, HTC will also be having its press conference at the same event just a day before NVidia's event. So it has to be seen what exactly the chip maker is planning.
The same event will likely witness the launch of many other quad core processor powered tablet after its impressive performance with Asus Transformer Prime. Even though the quad core processor hasn't seen itself in any smartphone, the days are not far as MWC 2012 might have many surprises.
