Online Ad Management Software maker Marin Software Raises $30 Million in Latest Round of Funding
Marin Software - the maker of online ad management software announced that it has raised $30 million in a new investment round captained by Singapore based Temasek Holdings.
Other investors who put in their two cents worth included the likes of SAP Ventures, Benchmark Capital, DAG Ventures as well as Crosslink Capital. Marin also disclosed on Monday that it had recruited Frank van Veenendaal - a former executive at Salesforce.com.
The funding and hiring, according to the company, will help its goal to expand the company's existing ad optimisation and management platform. Marin also went on to say that its customer base has doubled to 1,500 during the last year.
Marin serves to clients like the University of Phoenix, Hotels.com as well as Macy's and is channelling its efforts towards managing ad campaigns on social media forums such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, in addition to search engines such as Google, Yahoo! etc.
