Microsoft Launches Website Covering Trending Topics on Twitter and Facebook

Microsoft's newly launched website msnNow will bring users brief overviews on topics that are trending on social media platforms, such as Twitter, Facebook, Bing, in addition to BreakingNews.com

According to Microsoft, the site's editorial staff will be provided with all the necessary technologies "to identify what trends and topics are heating up on the Web".

This is so that they can keep on updating the site with new content, non-stop. The company is making the website's contents accessible, via all the commonly used platforms - including PCs, tablet computers, smartphones as well as feature phones.

Microsoft will be equipping staff with a home-grown tool named Demand Dashboard, which will enable its editorial team to find leading trends on social media sites, in real time. This new tool will also come handy for their staff to find out what people are searching for, in the Microsoft's Bing search engine - the Windows OS maker revealed.

It cuts through the clutter of the Web, providing an up-to-the-minute view of breaking trends and the hottest social conversations, what people are saying about them, and why they matter," Microsoft stated, as reported by PC World.
