Noon News: Google Latitude Receives Foursquare like Feature, HP Digital Printing Presses, Apple Motorola Patent Dispute

The latest update of Google Maps for Android now comes with a new feature called "points for Latitude checkins". However, when the update was launched on Wednesday, the company did not mention anything about it. But, once the update is downloaded, a leaderboard appears that displays the points the user earned and also how well the user is doing as compared to others in his circle, akin to Foursquare's core feature.

Hewlett Packard has decided to bet on the 72-foot long digital printing presses dubbed Web presses. The company is believed to have embraced this approach in order to bring drastic improvement in its balance sheet. The chief executive of HP, Meg Whitman, has decided that during the first year of her tenure she will be focusing in rebuilding HP's depleted balance sheet.

Apple has filed a complaint with the European Commission, asking it to intervene in its ongoing patent dispute against arch rival Motorola Mobility asking it to Motorola from using standard-essential patents in its lawsuit against the iPhone maker. The matter came to light after Motorola's late Friday filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

However, after six months this store was shut down by the company. As a matter of fact, earlier, companies like Gap, Nordstrom, and J.C.
