To the endless stream of rumours surrounding the iPad 3 launch that have appeared over the last few hours, this one is probably the most credible.
According to 9to5mac.com, the new iPad tablet will be available for sale nine days after it is presented at an event to be held tomorrow at Apple's Infinite Loop headquarters.
The 16th coincides with a Friday which is when Apple normally releases products for sale and also is when Apple will open an Apple Store in Harrods (in London) and one in Houston, Texas.
The site also reports that there will be another launch event one week later which could be for a separate Apple product like the Apple TV or further iPad-related announcements.
It's worth noting that the 16th comes one day after the expected launch of the Samsung Galaxy S3 with, potentially, new Samsung Galaxy Tab flagship tablets. Surely that would be a coincidence.
ITProPortal.com has a live blog of the event from London, covering the pre-iPad 3 buzz happening in the hours prior to the launch, rumours and the launch itself on Wednesday 7th. We suggest that you follow and bookmark this real-time live blog thread.
