BlackBerry fans, your dream has come true – the BB10 has been given the official nod and is coming to a BlackBerry Playbook near you.
Roll up! Roll up! Read all about it! The wonderful bods at RIM has some very good news, and has confirmed that the much-awaited BlackBerry Playbooks will feature the very awesome BB10 technology.
Despite no rumours circulating about any new hardware enhancements, existing owners can look forward to the revamped BlackBerry 10 operating system – borrowing the same concept as that of the QNX platform used by the current Playbook OS.
“We’ve said publicly a number of times that our first BB10 handset will be available towards the end of 2012, and that’s still firmly the case,” stated Rob Orr, RIM’s VP of product management.
“At some point after the launch we’ll bring BB10 to our PlayBooks, yes.”
The Canadian organisation has good reason to celebrate too, what with the astounding response received to the new BlackBerry Playbook 2.0 software.
“The updates from PlayBook 1 to PlayBook 2: astonishing take up rates in a very short space of time. A big percentage of our users just take it, take it, take it,” said Orr.
Good job BlackBerry! Keep up with the good work and just continue to give it, give it, give it.
