O2 has dropped down the price of the newly announced Xperia S to just under £357 when purchased on a two year contract with an outlay of £10.50 a month and an initial upfront fee of £104.99.
The Xperia S - which was officially presented last month in Barcelona - is the new flagship smartphone from Sony and comes with a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8260 clocked at 1.5GHz (with an Adreno 220 GPU).
It has a 4.3-inch display with a 1,280 by 720 pixels capacitive screen with Reality Display and Mobile Bravia technology, 1GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage and a 12-megapixel camera with flash, full HD video recording and Exmor R technology, a non-removable battery, HDMI and microUSB connectors, a front facing camera, a microSIM slot and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
You can already buy it on PAYG from Three for £370 which means that the O2 deal is better if you are with the mobile phone operator. O2 handsets should run on Tesco Mobile and Giff Gaff as well.
An initial impressions review of the handset, formerly known as the Nozomi, found out that the handset has yet to unlock its full potential until Ice Cream Sandwich kicks in.
