Another clear indication that the end is nigh for the Samsung Galaxy S2 (at least when to its status as Samsung's top dog phone); the smartphone can be purchased from E2Save on Talkmobile (a Vodafone mobile virtual network operator) for a mere £18 per month on a two year contract - that's a total cost of ownership of £432, not bad given that the SIM Free version of the phone costs just as much at Expansys.
The phone comes with 300 minutes, 1000 texts and 1000MB data, which should be enough for the average user. As for the phone itself, it comes with a 4.3-inch 800 by 480 pixels Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen, a dual core Exynos processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a microSD card reader, an eight megapixel camera with flash and 1080p HD recording, a two megapixel front facing camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB, HDMI and up to 760 minutes talk time on 3G. It runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with TouchWiz user interface
The Galaxy S2 is still a very, very decent mid-range phone though although the introduction of variants by Samsung means that the phone will be replaced once discounted stocks are sold.
