Yep, it’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for – Facebook’s timeline is to come into effect for all its fan page administators by Friday 30 March 2012 at 11am PST. Don’t worry if you’re looking at the clock and panicking about finding a decent cover photo, as that’s Pacific Standard Time – and UK users have until 7pm GMT.
Last month saw the social networking site roll out the changes, and despite this update a mandatory requirement for all Facebook pages, they were given a month’s grace to finish off the layout of their page before the timeline went live.
But just in case you didn’t get the memo, here it is:
“Reminder! Tomorrow starting at 11am PST we will begin to migrate Pages who have not upgraded yet to the new Timeline format. If you admin one of those Pages, you still have time to get your Page ready by adding a cover photo, milestones, etc. before tomorrow! Check out these tips from other Page admins: “
Some of the new features include a cover photo, friend activity, larger stories, pinned posts, admin panel plus as an activity log.
Just to be 100 per cent sure of the new changes, administrators are urged to check the requirements for the design. Users can do so here.
