Earlier this month, it was revealed that Ashton Kutcher would be taking on the role of Apple mogul Steve Jobs, in an independent film documenting his rise to worldwide fame. It's now been confirmed that filming is scheduled to begin sometime next month, with the film concentrating between the years of 1971 to 2000 - focussing on his early years, before Apple became a global phenomenon.
Speaking about the film and how well he expects it to be received by close friends and family of the late Steve Jobs, Kutcher said: "We have proposed for the movie to be an accurate and inspirational portrayal of his fascinating life and the huge impact he had on the world, so yes we expect his family and friends to appreciate it."
Following the same plot as the Steve Jobs and Bill Gates in television movie 'Pirates of Silicon Valley', the Apple biopic has been given the working title of 'Jobs: Get Inspired'.
Despite the apprehension of several Apple fans in the choice of Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs, there's no denying the striking resemblance between the pair. However, the film will need to go on more than just looks alone, should it wish to depict a true portrayal of Jobs.
The biopic is expected to be released within the fourth quarter of 2012. Apple - and Ashton Kutcher - fans could look forward to a Christmas treat later this year.
