The Droid RAZR MAXX has just been announced for the UK, where it is due to arrive somewhere in the middle of May - with pre orders being taken from Clove and Expansys, while Amazon silently awaits its turn.
Motorola has prepared an undefeated opponent in terms of battery life, with the unit providing an amazing 17.61 hours of talk time, thanks to the 3300 mAh capacity.
Beside its strength regarding the battery, RAZR MAXX offers both a great look and great improvements, making it a true competitor in the smartphone market.
The device comes equipped with a powerful dual-core 1.2GHz processor and 1GB RAM, a 4.3in QHD AMOLED Advanced display and a tough KEVLAR fibre casing, with a Gorilla Glass screen.
All of these goodies are packed in a sleek and modern design, thicker that the usual RAZR line-up, at 8.9mm. In addition, Motorola has applied a protective splashguard coating that even protects the inner components, from minor water damage.
RAZR MAXX features an 8MP 1080p camera, with 16GB of on-board storage, while running from the Android 2.3 OS. An interesting fact, is that the ROMs for the RAZR and RAZR MAXX are interchangeable.
It comes equipped with some powerful and modern features, providing "government-grade encryption and productivity tools that rival the capabilities of the usual desktop PCs".
