Buy An Apple iPhone 4, Get A Free Contract

by Desire Athow, 28 Apr, 2012 News

You can now get the new iPhone 4 (the one with 8GB) from online retailer Phones4U on Vodafone for as little as £36 per month on a 12-months contract with a total cost of ownership of only £432.

Apple sells the handset, which was introduced at the same time as the iPhone 4S for whopping £429 which means that you essentially get the added contract for £3 extra. Phones4U previously required a £279 upfront fee for the phone but this has been temporarily reduced to zero.

The phone comes with 500MB data, 300 minutes and 3000 texts which should be enough for a casual user and two years free Wi-Fi (theoretically unlimited, but in reality capped at 500MB per month with a 10p charge per MB from 501MB onwards). Vodafone also included 1GB Wi-Fi in the deal as well.

Launched nearly two years ago, the iPhone 4 is still a pretty decent phone and manages to outdo non-iOS phones with a Retina display screen that can show 960 x 640 pixels. There's a single core Cortex A4 processor, 512MB RAM, a 5-megapixel camera and a front facing one as well as the usual connectivity ports.
