Better late than never, after holding out for so long, the price of the popular Samsing Galaxy S II smartphone has started to fall just hours before the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S3 at an event in London.
At £365, the smartphone faces competition from its own rank with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note and the Galaxy Nexus not costing that much more.
Still, the S2 will appeal to those looking for a pocketable smartphone which neither of the two aforementioned smartphones really are.
It comes with a 4.3inh Super AMOLED Plus display with a 800 x 480 pixels resolution, a dual core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot, an eight megapixel rear camera and a front facing two megapixel one, plus Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Samsung has also packed a few of its own home-brewed solutions like Live Panel, the Readers Hub, AllShare and the Social and Music Hub.
The phone will be launched this coming Thursday at an invite-only event in London where ITProPortal.com will be reporting via Rob Kerr, our mobile editor.
