Samsung Galaxy S III - Hands-On Video

by Rob Kerr, 04 May, 2012 News

Samsung's next flagship mobile phone was launched at an event in London last night, where ITProPortal live blogged all the happenings from the unveiling of the Galaxy S III.

We are now publishing this very thorough, eight minute plus hands on walkthrough on video of the Samsung Galaxy S III, with a senior spokesperson from Samsung - Philip Berne, Technical Media Marketing Manager, in America.

Samsung's Galaxy S III is set to arrive on the 29th of May, with all will the major UK mobile phone networks: Three, O2, Orange and Vodafone; with the latter exclusively stocking the 32GB version, for the period of a month.

The phone runs from the latest version of the Google Android OS, in 4.0, which is also known as Ice Cream Sandwich. On-board is a new, but familiar TouchWiz UX overlay to the platform, with a series of notable apps: S Beam, S Voice, direct call, AllShare Play and AllShare Cast.

The handset is powered by Samsung's own quad-core Exynos processor, clocked at 1.4GHz, with an eight-megapixel rear-facing camera. There's also a Super AMOLED 1,280 x 720 screen, with a 1.9MP front-facing camera, situated just above the display and it is capable of HD video capture.

RAM comes in the form of 1GB, with a microSD expansion card that is backed up by three internal storage capacities of 16, 32 and 64GB.

Connectivity is provided by HSPA+ 21Mbps support, with the addition of NFC and Bluetooth 4.0.
