Adobe has announced that Creative Suite 6 is now out, and its Creative Cloud solution will follow very shortly, set to be released this Friday.
Creative Suite 6 includes new releases of Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Flash Professional among other tools. It will come in four suite versions: Design Standard, Design & Web Premium, Production Premium and Creative Suite 6 Master Collection.
Adobe promises “new levels of performance” with tools that take advantage of Adobe Mercury Graphics, and much improved user interfaces to make working with the suite a more intuitive experience.
Creative Cloud is Adobe’s recently unveiled subscription-based online service, which offers the Creative Suite 6 applications, along with other tools such as Adobe Muse and Adobe Edge preview. The service also includes 20GB of cloud storage.
David Wadhwani, senior vice president, Digital Media Business at Adobe, commented: “We announced Creative Cloud and CS6 two weeks ago and these releases have caught the imagination of creatives everywhere. Today we’re shipping CS6 and look forward to the beginning of an exciting new era as we introduce Creative Cloud later this week.”
Creative Suite 6 Design Standard is at the bottom of the price range costing £1238, with the Master Collection running to £2667 at the top end.
A Creative Cloud subscription costs £47 per month, although current Creative Suite users can take advantage of an introductory offer, which gives them a first year membership at £27 per month.Leave a comment on this article
