Some users of the HTC One X have been experiencing issues with their device, in not displaying new message notifications.
A number of owners have noticed that their One X handset occasionally fails to display a new message notification in the status bar, and the counter badge on the messaging icon fails to update.
This means that users could go hours before opening up the messaging app and then realising that they have unread messages.
HTC has now acknowledged that there is a bug, but says it is only affects a small number of owners of the HTC One X.
The manufacturer has confirmed that it is working on a solution for the problem, and will release the fix as soon as possible. HTC has yet to confirm a date, when the fix will be available.
HTC 'sOne X promises "lightning-fast web browsing, remarkable picture quality and seamless gaming visuals" due to the quad-core 1.5GHz processor it has under the bonnet and a 4.7in screen.
The X comes with 1GB RAM, 32GB of storage and weighs 130 grams. The device also boasts an 8-megapixel camera and 1080p HD video recording, and runs the Android 'Ice Cream Sandwich' 4.0 OS.
