Nokia’s next flagship smartphone, the 808 PureView, is hotly anticipated – and now the device price point has been leaked on the Nokia India website.
The firm’s Indian website has revealed that the price of the new 808 PureView will be INR 29,999, which works out at around £345.
The leak comes from the ‘Page Source’ in the Google Chrome Internet browser. However, the actual Nokia India website doesn’t list the price, only has a function for interested parties to register their details to be notified when the smartphone will become available.
The new Nokia smartphone is suspected to be released in India and Russia, before general release to the rest of the world’s markets.
Nokia announced at the beginning of this month that the 808 PureView would be available by the end of May.
The smartphone, launched in February of this year, has won both ‘Best Mobile Device’ at Mobile World Congress 2012, and ‘Best Imaging Innovation For 2012’ from TIPA.
The device boasts an incredible 41 megapixel sensor, with Carl Zeiss optics and a new pixel oversampling technology. It also features a 4in AMOLED screen and 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable by a microSD card up to 32GB.
