Verizon's Samsung Galaxy S3 To Have Snapdragon S4 Chip

An entry for a device called SCH-I535 has been recorded on NemaMark2 and could be Verizon's version of the Galaxy S3.

Interestingly, this version appears to be sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, almost certainly the MSM8960.

Other than the fact that it is a dual core model and is 4G/LTE enabled, its Adreno 225 GPU means that it excels in graphics benchmark, reaching up to 60fps in NemaMark2.

The GSM version of the Galaxy S3 comes with a quad core Samsung Exynos 4212 processor clocked at 1.4GHz instead and as expected, the phone will have a 1,280 x 720 pixels resolution and run on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The smartphone will go on sale in the UK on the 30th of May but can already be pre-ordered for as little as £500 from the likes of Carphone Warehouse or Handtec while pay monthly contracts start from a mere £29 per month.

The S3 faces a serious competitor though, the HTC One X. Both are very similar spec-wise and come with cloud storage. The One X can be had for as little as £21 on pay monthly contracts and only £432 on SIM Free.
