Apple is selling refurbished versions of the iPad 2, in white and in black, for a mere £259 which is stunning value for what is still a great tablet. That's 21 per cent off the current retail price.

These products come with full Apple guarantee and have been refurbished to Apple's highest standards, given new accessories and a new box.

The device was originally released in March 2011 and has been superseded by the new iPad launched earlier this year. The iPad 2 competes with the likes of the Motorola XOOM, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, the HTC Puccini and Asus Eee Pad Transformer.

The tablet comes with a dual core Apple A5 processor, 512MB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, 10-hour battery life, a 9.7in XGA capacitive display, Bluetooth, Facetime with two cameras, HD video recording, Wi-Fi and weighs only 600g.

Other models are also currently available from Apple's online store including the original Apple iPad for £219 (that's more than two year old now), the iPad 2 with 32GB at £319 and the 64GB version at £399.
