Only a few weeks after we announced that the Razr was hitting £300, Expansys has cut the price of the handset to a mere £280, a price that includes free delivery.
The white model of the handset comes with a 7.1mm profile and is made of Kevlar & a machined stainless steel core with its 4.3in screen (a Super AMOLED model with a 960 x 540 pixels resolution) covered in Gorilla glass. A splash-proof hydrophobic coating ensures that it sustains abuse better than other handsets.
Other features include a dual core TI OMAP44x0 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, a microSD card slot, Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, an 8-megapixel camera with flash and full HD video, a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera, a 1800mah battery, microUSB and microHDMI ports and DLNA compatibility.
At £280, it is cheaper than the Galaxy S2 and other rivals like the HTC Sensation XE while sporting similar features. It is a notch above the likes of the Sony Xperia U and the £80 to £100 premium is a decent investment.
