Very is now selling the Huawei Ascend G300 smartphone for as little as £99, that's 99p cheaper than buying it direct from Vodafone and while delivery is free, you will still to wait for a few days.
The G300 can be seen as the right heir to the Orange San Francisco as both managed to shake the entry level phone market by offering features not found at sub-£100 price ranges.
The device comes with a 1GHz processor, a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255, 512MB RAM, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), 2.5GB of internal memory, a 4in 800 x 480 pixels display, a 5-megapixel camera with flash and AF, Android 2.3 Gingerbread (with 4.0 ICS coming up), Wi-Fi Bluetooth, FM radio and Google Play.
It weighs 140g and is 10.5mm thick plus Huawei has bundled a sat nav app as well while its customised user interface has five home screens.
In comparison, most other sub £100 smartphones have processors slower than 1GHz, smaller screens with a lower resolution and a worse camera as well.
