Virgin Media Adds Samsung Galaxy S3 & 11 other new handsets to line up

Samsung's Galaxy S3 will lead the pack of new smartphones that the biggest MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) Virgin Media will be introducing over the summer starting from today.

The company announced on Friday that it would stock a number of Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry handsets. Virgin Media still doesn't do Apple's iPhone; the only MVNO that currently does it is Tesco.

Virgin Media also confirmed that existing customers would get a £5 discount on their pay monthly contract with unlimited free calls between Virgin Mobile customers and unlimited free calls from their Virgin Home Phone service to Virgin Mobile users.

In addition, Virgin Media says that its customers will be able to enjoy better 3G coverage after Everything Everywhere brought together T-Mobile and Orange networks.

Virgin Media customers will also get free Wi-Fi on London Underground and today the company announced that it was launching an "unlimited" data tariff (that doesn't include tethering though) as it competes against T-Mobile and Three.
