Tesco ships 22in full HD TV for £65

by Desire Athow, 27 Jun, 2012 Deals

Supermarket giant has discounted the price of this entry-level TV by 50 per cent with an additional £10 discount available.

You can get the UMC 22in widescreen full HD LED backlit TV with Freeview for £75 with an additional code that shaves another £10 from the price. In addition, save on postage by collecting in store.

The code (TDX-RFXW) is available for new customers; existing customers can register a new account with a new email.

The television set comes with a Freeview tuner, a timer and a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, which makes it by far the cheapest full HD monitor we've seen on the market yet.

Its features are not as compelling as one would expect but at £65, it is still a perfectly decent product. It boasts a contrast ratio of 1,000:1, a brightness of 250cd/m2, two 3W speakers, two HDMI connectors, SCART, a CI slot, component input, a headphone socket, DSub and a USB port.

The UMC 22in TV consumes 40W when switched on and only 0.5W on standby. There's also an EPG, parental lock, a sleep timer, VESA mount, a remote control and it weighs just under 4Kg.

Note that you will get up to 225 Clubcard points when you purchase the television as part of the triple Clubcard offer by Tesco.
