As part of its daily Lightning deals, Amazon will sell the ZTE Tania Windows phone handset for £99.99 including delivery, a 55 per cent discount off its normal selling price. The only other WP 7.5 handset that sold for less than £100 was the Nokia Lumia 710 which is now unfortunately out of stock.

The ZTE Tania comes with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor, 512MB of RAM, a 4.3in touchscreen display with a 800 x 480 resolution, a 5-megapixel camera with flash but no front facing camera, only 4GB of onboard storage and a 1400mAh battery.

It is closer, in terms of hardware configuration to the Lumia 610 than the Lumia 710. Other features include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, a microUSB port, an FM radio, A-GPS, Windows Phone 7.5 together with mobile Office, Internet Explorer 9, Xbox Live and Zune.

Unfortunately, the phone - like all other existing Windows Phone handsets - won't be upgradable to Windows Phone 8 because of tougher hardware requirements for Microsoft's next generation mobile OS.
