Currys has dropped the price of the Acer Aspire V5-171 to £370, that’s almost a quarter off its suggested retail price of £500.
The laptop comes with a Sandy Bridge-based dual-core Intel Core i3-2367M processor clocked at 1.4GHz with 4GB of RAM and a 320GB hard disk drive plus an Intel HD 3000 graphics.
What’s more, the Aspire V5-171 weighs only 1.38kg and has an 11.1in 1,366 x 768 resolution display, meaning that it has one of the highest pixel densities of non-Apple laptops on the market.
Other features include Windows 7 Home Premium, a card reader, two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 port, Bluetooth 4.0+HS, HDMI port, two speakers, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, a 2,500mAh battery, Wi-Fi and an Ethernet port.
Acer has bundled a number of applications, some of which can be considered to be bloatware rather than useful software.
Note that till 12 September, you can claim up to £200 worth of rewards from Currys when you purchase a laptop, PC or Mac.
