Those looking for a cheap Apple tablet can grab the 3rd generation 16GB iPad, otherwise known as the New iPad or the iPad 3 for £359 including delivery, straight from Apple, a discount of nearly 10 per cent off the £399 suggested retail price Apple normally charges for it.

The device, which was launched back in March 2012, comes with a new dual-core processor, the A5X, which comes with an improved graphics subsystem.

The biggest improvement, though, is the new Retina display with a 2,048 x 1,536 resolution spread over the same 9.7in screen area.

Other features include a 5-megapixel iSight camera, FaceTime camera, full HD video recording, up to 10 hours battery life thanks to a 42.5Whr battery, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, iOS 5.1 and a thickness of 9.4mm and a weight of 652g.

This refurbished tablet comes with a new battery, a new box, all the manuals and accessories as well as a one-year warranty.

The new iPad is likely to have a smaller sibling commonly known as the iPad Mini which, rumours suggest, will be launched next week and will go head-to-head against the Google Nexus 7 and the Acer Iconia A110, both of which are available for under £200.
