Nothing like a blurry photo of a mysterious product is there? Images have begun circulating of a new HTC phone, as the Taiwanese manufacturer prepares to do battle with the wealth of competitors readying autumn product launches.
Needless to say, the photos in question have emerged from East Asia and The Verge is reporting it as an Android device that could well prove to be a flagship model. The leak follows a number of HTC rumours that came our way last month, as we heard the firm was prepping a 5in smartphone for an imminent release – set to compete with the large-scale Samsung Galaxy Notes of the market.
Industry sources also reported a potential successor to the popular One X, with the codename HTC Endeavour C2 mooted. This phone apparently sports a 1.7GHz quad-core processor, an improved battery, a new colour, and bundled UrBeats earphones.
Only time will tell how these rumours slot in with the leaked images, but there is no doubt HTC is getting ready for something big. The company has been sending out press invites (bottom) for an event on 19 September, but many are expecting a Windows Phone 8 model to be unveiled rather than an Android as we appear to have here.
Major launches are being sounded out almost daily it seems, with Nokia set to deliver some interesting new in New York today. Thankfully, ITProPortal will be keeping up to speed with every bit of the action as it happens.
