Cheapest Windows Phone handset available from £90

Phones4U has put the HTC Mozart on sale for only £89.96 with an extra £10 for a top-up. The phone is available on every major networks bar Three and Virgin Mobile.

The device – which was launched almost two years ago - is not unlike the slightly more expensive Nokia Lumia 710. The latter. however, comes with at least two additional benefits: a 1.4GHz chipset and Nokia’s own set of applications (Drive, Map, Mix Radio).

As for the HTC Mozart, like all first-generation Windows Phone devices, it comes with a single-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 system-on-chip clocked at 1GHz and 512MB of RAM and was originally launched with Windows Phone 7.

Other features include 8GB onboard storage, an 8-megapixel camera with Xenon flash and HD recording, a 3.7in Super LCD display with a 800 x 480 pixels resolution, Dolby mobile sound technology, GPS, Wi-Fi and native apps plus Windows Phone’s own.

These include HTC Hub, Xbox Live, Zune, Office, Internet Explorer 9 and Bing. The handset cost more than £350 when it was first launched.
