HTC One X available from £339

If you don’t mind getting your phone from Hong Kong (with local warranty and no taxes/charges to be paid), then head over to eBay to check the HTC One X, which CC Electronics Store is selling for a mere £339 including a one year warranty. This is around 10 per cent cheaper than the equivalent offer from Expansys (although the latter comes with a free gift bundle).

The One X is powered by a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 system-on-chip clocked at 1.5GHz, with 1GB of RAM, 32GB onboard storage, a unibody polycarbonate chassis (not unlike the Galaxy S3 or the Nokia Lumia 800/900), 25GB cloud storage courtesy of Dropbox, a dedicated imaging chip, an 8-megapixel camera with AF, F2.0 aperture, BSI Sensor and 28mm lens, full HD video recording, a 1.3-megapixel camera, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, Beats Audio technology and a 4.7in 1,280 x 720 resolution.

Other competitors to the HTC One X include the Galaxy S3 (which has had a massive price cut), the LG Optimus 4X HD whose price was cut to less than £300, the ZTE Grand Era and the Huawei Ascend D.

There are rumours that the HTC One X, which is barely eight months old, will be replaced by a new handset called the One X Plus.
