Asus X53Z laptop: Quad core with 6GB of RAM for under £300

Ebuyer sells the Asus X53Z laptop for a mere £299.99, a saving of £30 off its suggested retail price. The device comes with a quad-core processor from AMD - the A6-3420M which is clocked at up to 1.5GHz and has an integrated AMD Radeon HD6520G GPU.

It comes with an A70M chipset, 6GB of RAM and a 500GB hard disk drive plus a DVD writer. Other features include a numeric keypad, GbE port, a 6-cell battery, a 15.6in 1,366x768 pixel display, Altec Lansing speakers with SRS Premium Sound capabilities, VGA/HDMI, a USB 2.0 port, two USB 3.0 ones, a card reader, a webcam, Wi-Fi plus an impressive array of software.

The X53Z – which weighs only 2.6Kg and is 28mm thick - runs Windows 7 Home Premium and includes Trend Micro Internet Security 2010, Asus Wireless console, Asus DVD 6-in-1 and the Asus Power4Gear Hybrid which tweaks your laptop to deliver the optimum level of performance.

The Taiwanese manufacturer has also included a dual-sided motherboard design system called IceCool that putshot components on the underside.
