HTC has dropped previously held plans to build a large-screen Windows Phone 8 handset, Bloomberg has alleged. According to the report, which cites “a person familiar with the project”, the Taiwanese firm is giving up on the effort because it would prove unable to match the resolutions of competing big-screen smartphones, including its own Android devices.
