Research In Motion has begun sending out invites for the eagerly anticipated launch of its all-new BlackBerry 10 platform.

After a well-documented series of delays the Canadian firm finally set the release date for 30 January 2013 last month, and today’s invites (above) confirm launch events to be taking place in New York, London, Toronto, Paris, Johannesburg and Dubai.

The event is scheduled to last four hours so there’s either a hell of a lot to be showed off on BB10 or RIM has a few surprises up its sleeve. Alongside the new OS, a full-touchscreen device and traditional QWERTY keyboard handset are expected to be unveiled.

The latter product seems to demonstrate RIM’s focus on keeping its enterprise customers happy, with BlackBerry’s QWERTY models representing business staple over past years.
