Nokia is developing a 10in Windows RT tablet that is expected to be revealed at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February 2013, Digitimes has reported.
The mythical tablet will be produced in concert with Microsoft, Qualcomm and Compal Electronics. It was initially intended for a 2012 release, with Compal contracted to manufacture and ship 200,000 units to test markets.
The project was suspended due to the arrival of the Microsoft Surface, according to undisclosed sources.
Nokia is believed to be “evaluating ordered volumes” and is basing its supply forecasts on the sales performance of currently available Windows RT tablets.
