LG may be preparing to follow up its flagship Optimus G phone with a new handset, according to a leak obtained by Engadget.
The so-called LG Optimus G Pro is rumoured to have a 5in screen with a full HD 1080p display, besting the Optimus G’s 4.7in, 768 x 1,280 pixel display. Other rumoured specifications include a 1.7GHz Snapdragon Pro processor, LTE, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal memory, making it slightly more powerful than its predecessor.
It’s also said to have a 3,000mAh battery, a welcome upgrade given its power. On the battery front, the rumours point to a 13-megapixel rear camera and a not-too-shabby 2.4-megapixel front-facing shooter.
Size-wise, the Optimus G Pro is rumoured to measure in at 139 x 70 x 10.1mm, with a weight of 160g.
Engadget’s leak matches up fairly well with a previous report from the Blog of Mobile about the NTT Docomo-bound handset. But with Mobile World Congress just around the corner, we may simply have to wait until next month to get confirmation from LG.
