PRCDirect sells the Sharp LC60LE636E for 60in television a mere £849 including delivery, a free HDMI cable and a five year warranty worth £277 on its own.
That’s just under a third off its suggested retail price which makes it a very decent large-format television, especially when you account for the bundled warranty.
The model comes with a full HD resolution, Freeview HD tuner, a 100Hz scan frequency with film dejudder, two 10W speakers, AQUOS Net+ (which earns it a Smart TV label), a Wi-Fi dongle, DLNA compatibility, three USB, VGA, Ethernet and four HDMI ports.
The LC60LE636E – which has been a regular feature in our deal section - uses a panel from Sharp’s new ultra-modern Sakai production plant in Japan.
At 33Kg, you will definitely need an additional pair of arms should you plan to hang it on the wall.
Note that it is not 3D capable, consumes 101W when on and even comes with an RS232C port. It is also no longer the cheapest 60in display as the LG 60PA650T can be had for under £800.
