The Acer Revo L80 nettop costs only £150 at Ebuyer’s outlet on eBay and it comes with 150 Nectar points and free delivery as well.
We’ve been a firm advocate of these pint-sized products (essentially desktop equivalent versions of netbooks) for a while now ever since they have carved themselves a well-deserved niche a few years ago.
The L80 is the latest version of the Revo brand and is powered by a fairly new processor, the Intel Celeron 887, a dual-core part that is clocked at 1.5GHz, comes with 2MB L2 cache, a TDP of 17W and integrated Intel HD graphics.
The device supports up to 8GB of RAM (comes with 4GB) and has a 500GB hard disk drive. Other features include FreeDOS OS, support for Dolby Home Theater v4, Wi-Fi, GbE LAN, six USB ports (including two USB 3.0 ones), a card reader, two HD audio jacks, DVI and HDMI video ports as well as two PCI Express mini card slots.
You will be able to shove the device behind a television as its cute looking stand doubles as a VESA mount. Note that the device doesn’t come with an optical drive, a mouse, keyboard or display.
