Samsung is gearing up to debut its eagerly anticipated Galaxy S4 handset in March, according to fan blog SamMobile.
The website claims the exact date we can expect our first genuine glimpse of the S4 is 15 March, with a general European release set to follow in early-April.
Citing a "trusted insider," SamMobile confirmed that the Galaxy S4 launch would take the form of a blockbuster Samsung Mobile Unpacked event - like the one at London's Earl's Court that announced the arrival of the Galaxy S3 back in 2012.
The report indicates that invitations for the exclusive unveiling will begin to make the rounds shortly after Mobile World Congress at the end of February.
SamMobile added that other regions like the United States and Africa may not become privy to the Galaxy S4 until May or June.
Speculation regarding the launch of the Galaxy S4 has been rampant for some time now, and while Samsung has yet to confirm its intentions, the latest chit-chat fits neatly with rumours pointing to a "week 16" consumer release for the device.
In addition to being linked with an independent launch in Q2 2013, the Galaxy S4 is tipped to feature Samsung's new 8-core Exynos 5 Octa chipset as well as a 4.99in Full HD display and 13-megapixel camera.
In addition to the teasing of purported release date details, a new image render of the Galaxy S4 (see top) also came to our attention this afternoon, offering a visual rundown of the specs popularly linked to the mythical device.
