Cambridge Audio releases wireless Minx Air 100 & 200 speakers

Cambridge Audio has released a brand new wireless speaker system duo, with the Minx Air 100 and Minx Air 200 hitting stores now.

A major draw of the setup is the wireless compatibility the Minx Air speakers have with Apple and Bluetooth devices, enabling the user to stream music straight from their phone or tablet.

The use of Apple’s AirPlay system makes for easy link up with iPhones, iPods and iPads, while Bluetooth connectivity means a host of Android and other devices can be used as the Minx Air’s music source too. Services like Spotify, YouTube and Last.fm can also be streamed to the speakers.

Radio playing capabilities are enhanced by the Minx Air app - available in Apple’s app store and Google Play - which includes a library of over 20,000 stations. It’s not all about wireless streaming though, as the Minx Air sports traditional sockets on the back so TVs and Blu-ray players can also be connected.

For its latest model, Cambridge Audio claims its patented Balanced Mode Radiator (BMR) technology and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) creates a richer than expected sound for speakers of its size.

The Minx Air 100 and 200 are priced £329.95 and £429.95 respectively, and are available now from cambridgeaudio.com and Richer Sounds stores across the UK.
