Research firm claims that Nokia won't launch tablet at MWC 2013

All rumours and speculations surrounding the launch of a new Nokia tablet at the coming edition of Mobile World Congress are ill-grounded, claims a research firm.

The anticipation reached its peak when the alleged image of the same had been leaked during an event held at Pakistan last week. The image, which depicted a new 7in tablet, fueled the claims that the new Nokia tablet would be unveiled at MWC 2013.

However, bashing all those rumours, the research firm Strategy Analytics published a report that claims that fanboys will have to wait a little more before they get a sneak peek into the much anticipated Nokia tablet.

"Following extensive channel checks by our Tablet & Touchscreen Strategies (TTS) service, we understand Nokia will not unveil a tablet with a Microsoft operating system at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC)," the firm published in a  blog post.

Strategy Analytics further claimed that Nokia is currently too caught up in strengthening its Lumia line-up and therefore, has no intention to launch a tablet anytime soon. In December 2012, Taiwanese publication Digitimes claimed that the Finnish company would released a 10in Windows RT-based device at MWC.
