This Ultrabook has a very appealing design and weighs a mere 1.6Kg. It features an Intel Core processor, a dual-core i5-3317UM model clocked at 1.7GHz with 3MB cache and turbo boosting to 2.4GHz (based on Ivy Bridge architecture).
There’s also 4GB of RAM, a 32GB SSD, 500GB hard disk drive, a 13.3in 1,366 x 768 display, Windows 7 Home Premium, an Intel HD 4000 Graphics solution with 128MB shared memory, Wi-Fi, two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, Bluetooth 4.0, a card reader, a webcam, up to seven hours battery life and a 12 months warranty.
You can upgrade the latter to a three year collect and return warranty including accidental damage and theft for £150. Note that you also get free copies of BullGuard Internet Security and WebRoot Anti-virus.
Other competing Ultrabooks include the Novatech nFinity N1409 (which doesn’t come with an operating system though), the Samsung Series 5 Ultrabook (which costs a lot more but comes with a free tablet) and the HP Envy 4-1010SA.
