£879 Samsung PS60E530 60in Plasma TV

Pixmania, which is now owned by British retailing giant DSGi, is now selling the Samsung PS60E530, a 60in full HD plasma television set for £878.90 including delivery making it one of the cheaper 60in displays on the market.

With a diagonal of 60in and a 1,920 x 1,080 pixel display, it is best to view this massive set from afar. The PS60E530 is part of the company’s Series 5 range.

It comes with picture and sound enhancement technologies (HyperReal Engine and Dolby Digital Plus) and offers a built-in noise reduction technology called Clear Voice II.

Other features include a Freeview tuner, a very nice design with a slim bezel, two HDMI ports, SCART, USB, two 10W speakers and MegaDCR technology. Note that it did carry a RRP of £1,499, that it carries a “B” energy efficiency class, with an on-mode power consumption of 191W.

Note that this television (and its rival the LG60PA650T) were on sale for a mere £809 last year thanks to a 10 per cent discount that’s unfortunately no longer valid.
