£320 Toshiba Satellite C670D-11K: A very big screen, a very small price

Laptopsdirect is selling the Toshiba Satellite C670D-11K for a mere £320. The price excludes a potential £15 discount when you take on a Which? magazine trial and an optional £32 three year warranty which includes parts, labour and full electrical cover.

The biggest selling point of this device is its 17.3in display which has a resolution of 1,600 x 900 pixels, far more than the 1,366 x 768 found on most 15.6in or 13.3in displays. The rest of its specification is unsurprisingly vanilla given its price.

It is powered by an AMD E-450 APU clocked at 1.6GHz with two cores, 1MB L2 cache, an AMD Radeon HD 6320 GPU, 4GB of RAM, a massive 640GB hard disk drive, Windows 7 Home Premium, a webcam, a DVD writer, HDMI, VGA, two USB ports, Ethernet, a card reader and a stylish matt black keyboard which makes typing easier.

Note that it also has a numeric keypad and a full size keyboard which explains why it weighs 2.83Kg and is up to 38mm thick.

Toshiba says that it has a 4.5 hours battery life and has bundled a number of applications like Toshiba disc creator, face recognition, Assist etc.
